Our solution is designed with privacy at its core. In fact, our respect for privacy is one reason we encourage employers to enable employees to self-report symptoms at home, where employees need not worry about the involvement of an on-site screener or possible observation by their peers.
In its default settings,* TeamSense complies with relevant national regulatory bodies within the United States, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA typically prohibits employers from asking employees about health symptoms or measuring employee temperature except under very specific circumstances. However, during this period of an officially declared pandemic, the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is allowing employers
to ask employees if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 as well as take employee temperatures. Any health information captured during this process must be stored confidentially and stored separately from personnel files - which is easily enabled through TeamSense.*Customers have the option to customize the questionnaires and workflows for their needs, and TeamSense is not liable for customizations implemented by customers that constitute a breach of national or local regulations. We advise customers to work with relevant Legal, HR, and EHS personnel within their organizations should they choose to create custom questionnaires or workflows.
